I retain
the certificate I received for that share upon closing the sale of said property. Big Ditch Irrigation was the company who collected annual fees from me for many years, however, numerous attempts by unscrupulous parties claiming affiliation with Big Ditch have tried to spread false rumors about share ownership as well as the quality of our irrigation water in an attempt to swindle shareholders out of our water rights. Repairs and maintenance on the ditch have been literally non-existent in my area for a number of years. No communication has come from BIG DITCH with any contact name or signature requesting payment of fees for many years. I sent them a letter to an Orem address requesting a list of shareholders in my area, and names of officers of BIG DITCH, to which I received NO RESPONSE. I paid a lot for my share, and intend to be there to defend my right to use at your proposed meeting. Suppose, for example, that an irrigation company has water rights that allow the company to irrigate a total of 100 acres. The company has issued 100 shares, meaning that each share entitles the share owner to irrigate 1 acre. One shareholder, who owns 25 shares and irrigates 25 acres, puts in a more efficient irrigation system. Due to the efficiency, the shareholder then irrigates 50 acres instead of 25 acres. The result is that the company, as a whole, is now irrigating 125 acres, even though it only has the water rights to irrigate 100 acres. The depletion would also have increased. The Division would view the company as exceeding its water rights, and could take enforcement actions against the company.Jeff Gittinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13110412959915265771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4910071818748006479.post-76008508263631421342015-12-07T10:09:57.316-07:002015-12-07T10:09:57.316-07:00Is there any difference in this situation if a per...Is there any difference in this situation if a person owns water shares instead of a water right?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15682080059016040093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4910071818748006479.post-21595338146044262022013-02-05T15:21:24.445-07:002013-02-05T15:21:24.445-07:00I know this is random, but I am trying to find con...I know this is random, but I am trying to find contact information for Big Ditch Irrigation Company. They both informed us of your newly introduced bill. Tomorrow I will send you a copy of an email that we are sending out to all Utah Representatives and Senators. We are land owners and do not want "recreationalist" to have access to our private property and keep destroying it and invading our privacy, safety, security and pease of mind. Please keep up the good work. My board has said we can not see the assessment statements and they claim that 2/3rds are not paying, but the numbers do not add up. I requested the records to verify their public statements to us. they then drafted a resolution to adopt that says members can not see the statements for confidentiality reasons. what confidentiality? We're all shareholders and entitled to see these records--i ahve not asked for SS numbers, credit card info or bank account information.

Is there any case law that goes over this? thanksHideaway Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09974650504293010111noreply@blogger.com
